Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. One of her first Broadway productions included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director has spent most of her professional career working with famous directors and actors both on screen and in television. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is currently working on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. The film will be available through Disney's DTC platforms, as well as Hulu Original. Ashford is set to appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheims Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the helm of the production. Ashford was Paula Jones, the main role in Ryan Murphy's latest FX program American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the crisis which swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main actors into the very first impeachment proceeding in America in more than 100 years. Her two-season stint on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first significant part. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Other Broadway credits are Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and her first role as Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she was awarded a second Tony Award nomination. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and is now dividing the time in Los Angeles, and New York.
